James Dyson

Healing Encounters Conference presenter

Dr. James Dyson leads a training in Anthroposophical Psychology in the US and a training for young doctors in the UK. He has counseled Waldorf Schools and Camphill Communities for decades. After many years as a General Practitioner, James trained in Applied Psychosynthesis at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London, and attained a Masters’ degree in Psychosynthesis Psychology from Middlesex University. James’ foremost intention is to contribute to an extension of current paradigms of understanding within psychology including the work of Iaian McGilchrist.

Mark Hancock

Mark Hancock, MD, MPH founded Humanizing Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, together with his wife Enid, in 2015. The clinic is strongly rooted in the couple’s belief that everyone should have quality integrative healthcare options. Dr. Hancock has worked with Anthroposophic Medicine, which originally introduced mistletoe as a cancer care therapy over one hundred years ago, for his entire professional career. Dr Hancock graduated summa cum laude from Saint George’s Medical School in 2008 and was elected Chief Resident during his training at University of New Mexico Hospital. He was introduced to the advanced use of mistletoe by Dr. Maurice Orange, greatly impacting his life course. Dr. Hancock’s journey through life has been full and varied and has taken him through art, philosophy, science, and even some farm work, before ultimately landing in medicine.

Sandra Stewart

Sandra Stewart is a board certified Naturopath and Holistic Health Practitioner.  She is the founder and creator of Life-Thyme Solutions, LLC.  She has been coaching and sharing holistic wellness information for over 20 years.  Her goal is to "Share The Health" with both personal and professional clients who wish to learn from Sandra's experience and dedication to Holistic Health and Wellness.  Her passion is helping women energetically balance their hormones and neurotransmitters.  She has helped those who have been diagnosed with anxiety, allergies, depression, emotional Imbalances, infertility, PMS, perimenopause, menopause and other hormone issues, stress and nervous system issues such as Autism, ADHD, ADD, etc., digestion issues and chronic health conditions such as auto-immune issues and cancers. Sandra currently teaches German Biological Medicine at the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry.  She is an international speaker and teacher on health and wellness.  She has worked in the integrative medicine wing of Clifton Springs Hospital utilizing EAV (Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll).  She currently has a private consulting practice for clients and  professional training programs for health practitioners.

Louisa Barnum

Healing Encounters Conference and Youth Work Camp Presenter

Louisa Barnum has been coaching for more than 15 years, currently working with senior leadership teams on leadership and culture building in organizations. She has taught communication skills and relationship dynamics to teams and leadership, and also works with small business owners on growing their companies through strategy advisory. As a consultant from 2013 - 2020 she has supported teams in multi-stakeholder projects doing social change work around the world, such as peace-building in Zimbabwe, the future of democracy across South America, and the Youth and Justice system in the United States.

She has also has supported individuals struggling with a range of mental health issues such as PTSD and trauma, depression, and anxiety, drawing upon her studies in Anthroposophy and consciousness and also the work of Dennis Klocek and Georg Kuhlewind. Her focus has been on developing practical methods for personal transformation and has built a number of online membership programs, courses, and mini-courses on Social Sculpture, inner development, meditation, and relationship dynamics.

Louisa Barnum is a researcher into the phenomenology of consciousness, social change, leadership, and culture. She incorporates Steiner's three-folding ideas into her leadership coaching and culture building work. She is mother of two adult children and currently lives in California. She started her career as a classically trained musician in violin and voice before switching to coaching, which has greatly influenced her unique approach to her work. Enid Hancock

Enid provides a number of healing services, including footbaths, compresses, external applications, and einreibung ( a type of very gentle massage with healing oils). She has extensive education in the medicinal properties of plants, and uses a variety of natural ingredients to aid the healing process, based on each patient’s individual needs. Enid’s passion for healing has always been evident – at age 6 she was already applying poultices and compresses for her siblings and friends. After studying at the Goetheanum, the world headquarters of the anthroposophical movement, and touring anthroposophic hospitals and pharmacies in Switzerland, she knew she wanted to be a part of a medical practice that combines modern and alternative treatments to best help each patient on their journey to healing. In addition to her work at Humanizing Medicine, Enid is a trained Waldorf teacher and mother to 6 lively girls.

Christina Beck

Christina Beck began her artistic career touring with the Stuttgart Eurythmeum. Christina has trained many eurythmists and taught in two Waldorf Schools over several decades. Recently she has toured with her original performance piece, I Go Where I Love, including four sold out performances at The Fruit in Durham, NC.

Benjamin Bingham

Healing Encounters Conference presenter and Organizer

Benjamin Bingham is inspired to co-midwife this conference with an amazing community here in North Carolina. He is the CEO/Founder of 3Sisters Sustainable Management, Inc. (3SSM), a Delaware Benefit Corporation managing 100% impact portfolios across private and public asset classes (www.ScarabFundsllc.com ).  Educated at Groton School, Yale and Emerson College (UK), his writing and work draws on broad experience as an artist, bio-dynamic farmer and Development Director as a co-founder of Triform Camphill Community, and has been an occasional Waldorf teacher. His pioneering book published in 2015 on Impact Investing: Making Money Matter is an important contribution to this expanding movement and The Pulse of Money will be published this Fall going deeper into current issues and how we may bridge differences if we take on our own inner development. Ben is also a Class Holder in the School of Spiritual Science.
